New Executive Director (January 2, 2009) - Friends of the Arts, Regional Arts Council is pleased to announce that Mark Dionne has been hired as the new Executive Director. Fall Art Show (October 4, 2008)- The 24th Annual Plymouth Fall Art Show took place on the Plymouth Town Common, Saturday, October 4, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The Art Show is presented by Friends of the Arts Regional Arts Council and Plymouth Parks and Recreation. More than twenty talented artists from all over New England displayed and sold their work. Art was judged and prizes were awarded in three categories: Oil/Acrylic; Watercolor; Photography/Mixed Media. In addition, there was live music by The Alura Ensemble, as well as face painting, refreshments and raffles. >READ MORE>
“Hamlet” at the Silver Center (Sept. 2008)- Friends of the Arts in collaboration with Plymouth State University Department of Theatre presented Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” at the Silver Center for the Arts as a bus-in for area high school students. Students from Franklin High School, Sant Bani, Plymouth Regional High School and Newfound Memorial High School and Proctor Academy experienced a 90-minute live performance of the classic play with the option of a 45-minute Stage Combat Workshop following the performance. >READ MORE>
