Coffee House Series

The Friends of the Arts ‘Coffee House Series’, is held at the Art Cellar Event Space on 75 Main Street, Plymouth, just a few doors down from Dresser’s Unlimited.  The Coffee House Series will feature up and coming artists in every genre, while also bringing more established artists to the Main Street night life.

Our first performance of the series was a huge success!

Friends of the Arts would like to thank Cafe Monte Alto for the coffee, Main St. Bakery for the baked goods, and the students at the Hunter School for their opening act, which included a brief stand-up comedy act. We would like to thank the students and staff at the Oliverian School for the amazing three songs their students and faculty performed and a huge thank you to the Jay Moskowitz Band who headlined the event.

The evening kicked off with students from the Hunter School performing songs they have written as part of the Music is Magic program from Friends of the Arts. The student written songs were also performed, which included a rap, with a choreographed chorus, and a brief stand-up comedy act.

The Olvierian School brought three extremely talented students, performing two student written compositions, with one student-composed piece reminiscent of Sarah McLaughlin's angelic sound, as there was amazing talent at every turn!

See you soon and thank you to all the volunteers and performers who made the evening such a success!
